I’d like to start a series called Weeks End although it’s a Monday. Things from the week that I found interesting and would like to share with people. Let me know what you think.
LeSean McCoy (running back for the Buffalo Bills)
Went to watch Avengers End Game with his kids and for no good reason put on Twitter a spoiler for the movie. Which upset everyone who hasn’t been able to see it (I’ve seen it) to the point where they brought up his domestic violence dispute with his now wife and everything.
Game of Thrones Episode 3 (not spoiling it):
For what is arguably considered by people as one of the best shows of all time, during this weeks episode of Game of Thrones for a solid 30 minutes was so dark it was difficult to watch much of it. For a show with dragons, swords, magic, and zombies, no one in the entire show had a lantern? Not one person carried a lantern in the whole show? Cmon.
With Sebastian Janikowski (kicker for the Oakland Raiders) retirement:
This makes Tom Brady the only player still in the league that was drafted in 2000.
Big Ben Cosplay
A London man ran the London Marathon in a big ben cosplay costume in 3 hours 54 minutes and 21 seconds. How it lasted that long is a surprise to me.
RIP John Singleton
The director of Boyz N’ Hood and youngest director to ever receive a nomination for best director has passed away at the age of 51. He was on life support after suffering a stroke.
Ukraine in a strange situation elected a man (Volodymyr Zelensky) for the president who plays a president in a television show in Ukraine. Is that worse than electing Donald Trump? We’ll see.
Bumble will send women a warning when they detect that someone has sent the person an unsolicited dick pic… apparently, that’s still a thing.
Boy Scouts of America and the list…
It came out that the Boy Scouts of America has a list of 7,800 people who are suspected of sexually abusing boys… can we now determine that older men and young boys are not a good thing? Boy Scouts, Catholic Church, Michael Jackson. Leaving kids with older men doesn’t seem to be a good idea these days.
WHO are you calling lazy…
The World Health Organization has issued guidance to limit kids under 5 to limited or no screen time. Saying that it makes kids lazy later in life.
Has unveiled a project to help kids who are visually impaired learn braille. I think that’s a brilliant idea.
Keeping it sea-level…
A doctor released a statement saying “definitely stay away” about women who wear platform sandals, causing back pain in those who wear them.
Park it in the garage…
Amazon Prime members can now have their packages delivered straight to the garage. That would obviously require you to have a garage (so glad I’m moving to a house with a garage moving day June 15th)
Mid Week buy-in…
According to airline companies, the cheapest days to fly are Tuesday and Wednesday, giving you plenty of reasons to have a long weekend.
Netflix and no chill…?
A recent study says that over 50% of people would rather binge movies on Netflix than have sex, as well as the second issue being that they fall asleep while binging. Why not just have sex during the movie (mute the television first) Televisions not that serious. Can you put the divorce on pause?
This weekend I got a detail
Not on my car, but on my tattoo, several months ago I got the outline, two weeks ago I got some flowers added in, and this past weekend I got a little more detail thrown in, and these are the results. The flowers are peonies, sunflowers, orchids, cherry blossoms, and a dandelion.
